
Design of a waste heat recovery system to harvest electricity. Several use cases were tested out to improve the temperature gradient and convert the dissipated hot air – the waste heat – recovered during the crypto mining process. Ice cubes, heat sinks, and passive air were all tested to enhance the cold temperature gradient and convert waste heat into electricity. In this design, the waste heat recovery system is a combination of a 2-GPU mining unit, with a set of 20 thermoelectric modules and 2 aluminium heatsinks.
